YORK HAVEN – Bruce E. Conley, 94, of York Haven, passed away at 9:00 AM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Mildred (Hoke) Conley.
Bruce was born October 13, 1923 in York and was the son of the late Charles and Maggie (Toomey) Conley.
He was employed by York International for over 20 years before retiring in 1986. He attended Ambassador Bible Chapel in Manchester. Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Force during WW II.
Bruce is survived by his daughter, April Heisey and her husband Phil of York; two grandsons, Stacy and his wife Kristen of York, Adam of York, and two great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Alex. Bruce was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Lloyd, Charles, Jacob and Nevin and his sisters, Catherine, Freda and Eva Violet.
His funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM, Monday, February 5, 2018 at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Officiating at the service will be Reverend Charles Yost. Military honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the graveside.
