MANCHESTER – Christine M. (Snydeman) Landis, 95, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the age of 95 at York Hospital. Christine was the ever-loving wife of the late N. Eugene Landis, married June 6, 1942.
Mrs. Landis was born December 12, 1921 in Allentown and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Mazzie (Billet) Snydeman.
In 1939 she graduated from North York High School in York. She was a self employed seamstress and Interior Decorator in the York area. She worked for the former Galies Furniture Store in York. She was a member of the Junkerts Antique Club.
Mrs. Landis is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Bare of York, and Dorothy Doll and her husband Sidney of York; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Mrs. Landis was preceded in death by grandchildren, Matthew, Lily and Cain, and great great grandson, Cooper.
A celebration of life service will begin at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Manchester Union Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be The Reverend Philip Nace.
