MOUNT WOLF- Dorothy S. (Naylor) Brenneman, 98, of Mount Wolf, passed away at 6:32 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Providence Place in Dover. She was the wife of the late Leonard C. Brenneman who passed away on January 28, 2009. The loving couple celebrated 70 years of marriage in 2008.
Mrs. Brenneman was born April 14, 1919 in Manchester and was the daughter of the late Charles, Sr. and Edith (Beshore) Naylor.
In 1937 she graduated from Manchester High School in Manchester. She was employed for over 12 years by Jack Whorl Chevrolet in Manchester before retiring in 1981. She was also employed by Naylor Candies in Mount Wolf. She was a member of Saginaw Community Church in Saginaw. Dorothy took pleasure in finding little ways to show friends and family that she cared.
Mrs. Brenneman was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and is survived by her two daughters, Jane Chidester and her husband, Buford of Mount Wolf, and Joyce Stough and her husband, William of Manchester; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandson, and one step- great grandchild. Dorothy was preceded in death by her great grand-daughter, Bethel Lehman, and her four sisters and five brothers.
Her funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Viewing will be from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Saginaw Cemetery in Saginaw. Officiating at her service will be Pastor Jeffrey Wilt.
