MANCHESTER – Glenn O. Trout, 80, of Manchester, passed away at 9:25 PM, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Schuylkill Haven. He was the husband of Jeannette (Bowers) Trout who he married 38 years ago on July 15, 1979.
Glenn was born January 2, 1937 in York and was the son of the late Oscar and Pauline (Heilman) Trout.
He spent his career as a truck driver working for Transcon, St. Johnsbury and Estes before retiring in 1992. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, Jeannette, Glenn is survived by his two daughters, Lisa O’Connor and her husband Toby of York New Salem, Michelle Blake and her husband John of York; his step-daughter, Susan McFarland and her husband Jeffrey of Mount Wolf; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, and his sister Donna Lam of Manchester. Glenn was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Trout; his step-daughter, Holley Gross and his brother, Eugene Trout.
A life celebration of service will begin at 6:30 PM, Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 6:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Officiating at the service will be The Reverend Philip K. Nace.
