MOUNT WOLF – John S. Emrich, 62, of Mount Wolf, passed away Wednesday evening, May 24, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Valerie (Mayberry) Emrich.
John was born February 7, 1955 in Harrisburg and was the son of the late Harold and Mary (Bechtel) Emrich.
He graduated in 1973 from Northeastern High School in Manchester. He was employed for over 36 years with Fox Pool Company in York. John was a member of the Wago Club in Mount Wolf and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Washington Capitals, and Dale Earnhardt and enjoyed betting on the horses. John was the last of the Emrich family who owned the former Emrich Chevrolet in Manchester.
In addition to his wife, Valerie, he is survived by his two daughters, Sonni Reed of Street, MD, Shawnee Roberts of Mount Wolf; 1 grandson, James Reed; his brother, Theodore Feeser and his wife Rebecca of York; his nephew, T.J., and his niece Alexis.
A celebration of life service will begin at 5:00 PM, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Quickel Cemetery in (Zions View) York. Officiating at the service will be the Reverend Philip Nace.
