Robert F. Heidlebaugh

MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS – Robert F. Heidlebaugh, 82, of Mount Pleasant Mills, passed away at 3:45 AM, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at his home.  He was the husband of Verna P. (Miller) Heidlebaugh whom h e married 63 years ago on August 29, 1953.

Bob was born September 6, 1934 in York and was the son of the late Robert and Mary (Hake) Heidlebaugh.

He graduated in 1952 from William Penn High School in York.  He was self employed in the construction business for over 40 years and also was employed by Manchester Township and Mount Wolf Borough.  He was a Scout Leader in York County, was a member of the Hanover Street Rod Association, York Antique Car Club, William Grove Steam Engines Association for over 34 Years, Steam A Rama, Tuckahoe Steam and Gas Association, Chambersburg Steam Association, a volunteer with the Alert Fire Company in Emigsville, and attended car shows at the Leg Up Farm in Mount Wolf for 6 years.  He was a former member of Hayshire U.C.C. and Starview U.C.C..

In addition to his wife, Robert, is survived by his sons, Steven Heidlebaugh and his wife Nannette and Rock Heidlebaugh and his wife Diana both of Dover; 5 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.  Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Clair Heidlebaugh and his sister Ruth Garner.

Services and burial for Robert will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
