Robert H. Heilman, Sr.

MANCHESTER – Robert H. Heilman, Sr., 90, of Manchester, passed away at 5:20 AM, Thursday, August 23, 2018, at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Louise E. (Crone) Heilman who passed away on April 18, 2013.

Robert was born January 3, 1928, in East Manchester Township and was the son of the late Emory and Mary (Gardner) Heilman.

He was employed as a mechanic for over 40 years with the former Emrich Chevrolet and Jack Whorl Chevrolet in Manchester before retiring in 1993.

Robert is survived by his two sons, Terry Heilman and his wife Linda of Manchester, and Robert Heilman, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Mount Wolf; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and his sister, Janet Becker of York. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Heiman; one grandson; one great grandson; his two brothers, and his sister, Norma Himes.

His funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Viewing will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover. Officiating at the service will be Reverend Mark Zortman from Otterbein United Methodist Church in Mount Wolf.
