YORK – Samuel S. Grin, 93, of York, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Phyllis (Wherley) Grim whom he married 70 years ago.
Mr. Grim was born June 14, 1924 in Abbottstown, Pa. and was the son of the late Samuel and Clara Grim.
He was employed as a Manchester Township Supervisor for many years. He also was employed by Penn Dairies and was a Brick Layer. He was an avid golfer and served as a volunteer firefighter for Manchester Township.
Mr Grim is also survived by his son, Dr. Stephen S. Grim of Manchester; his granddaughter, Heather J. Rohlmeier and her husband Michael, and his great grandson, Evan Michael Rohlmeier. Mr. Grim was preceded in death by his sisters, Pauline Markle, Purden Krout and Fern Felty.
Funeral Services and Burial for Mr. Grim will be private. His burial will take place in Fort Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery in Annville, Lebanon County. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
