LEWISBERRY – Sara Ann (Ort) Linthurst, 81, of Lewisberry, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 at home. She was the wife of the late Lavere C. Linthurst who died on December 15, 2003.
Sara Ann was born on January 29, 1939 in Cly, York County, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Pauline (Toomey) Ort.
Sara Ann graduated in 1955 from Manchester High School in Manchester, Pennsylvania. She was employed by the Pennsylvania Auto Dealer Exchange (PADE) for 43 years before retiring in 2007. She is a member of Grace Baptist Church in Lewisberry and was the founder of New Beginnings, a widows group at Grace Baptist. Sara Ann was a former member of the Strinestown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Sara Ann is survived by her daughters, Roxane Cassel and husband Steve of Mechanicsburg and Linda Steward and husband David of Lewisberry; 3 grandchildren, Courtney Dever, Renee Collins and Russell Wynegar; 7 great grandchildren and her sister, Janet Kann of York Haven.
A private graveside service will be held for Sara Ann in Strinestown Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be her pastor Reverend Calvin Cutter. A celebration of life service will be announced for a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
