Theodore R. Rizzio, Sr.

DOVER – Theodore “Ted” R. Rizzio, Sr., passed away at 2:12 PM, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Memorial Hospital at the young age of 92 years. Ted was preceded in death by his life long companion Drema Dunham of Dover.

Ted proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WW II. He retired from Huber Tire Company in North York and also worked as a truck driver for the York Coke Company in his earlier years. He was an avid hunter.

He is survived by two sons, Theodore Rizzio, Jr. and his companion Gloria Tompkins of Dallastown, and Robert Rizzio and his wife Maxine (Bubb) Rizzio of Mount Wolf; six grandchildren, Tony Rizzio, Mike Rizzio, Mark Rizzio, Duane Rizzio, Angelia Rizzio Kann, and Jodie Rizzio; ten great grandchildren, Justin Rizzio, Ryan Rizzio, Brett Rizzio, Kirstin Kann, Hunter Kann, Pvt., Chase Kann, Taylor Rizzio, Ashlen Centero, Zachery Rizzio, and Alex Rizzio; three great great grandchildren, Nevach Rizzio, Zayden Rizzio, Bryson Schaeffer. Ted was preceded in death by his son, Larry Rizzio, and his grandson, Joseph Rizzio.

Services and burial will be private. Burial will be in Fort Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery in Annville, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
