Ralph E. Beaverson
YORK - Ralph E. Beaverson, 86, of York, passed away at 2:07 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Country Meadows of Shiloh. He was the husband of the late Frances M. (Mancuso) Beaverson.
Ralph was born October 27, 1925 in York and was the son of the late Edwin and Gretna (Heiges) Beaverson.
He graduated from William Penn High School in 1944 and following his graduation entered the United States Army and proudly served during WW II. He retired in 1987 from Harley Davidson Motor Company in York. He was a member of the Pleasureville American Legion, Post 799 in Pleasureville.
Ralph is survived by his daughter, Virginia Crump of Manchester; his granddaughter, Laura Cos; and his great grandson, Quinn Cos; his two brothers, Dennis Beaverson of Maryland and Richard Beaverson of York; his stepchildren, Michael Stoltzfus, Julia Saurbaugh, Loretta Wise, Cynthia Helm; and nieces and nephews. Mr. Beaverson was preceded in death by his brother Harold Beaverson and his sister Evelyn Heindel.
A service to celebrate the life of Ralph will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 31, 2012 at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Mount Rose Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Reverend Tracy Conner, Chaplain at Country Meadows. Military honors will be performed by the York County Veteran Honors Guard at the funeral home.
