Delores M. Sheffer

MANCHESTER – Delores M. (Brenneman) Sheffer, 86, of Manchester, passed away October 16, 2021, at her son’s home.  She was the wife of the late Ervin E. Sheffer who passed away on December 17, 2016.

Delores was born in East Manchester Township on November 12, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Gingerich) Brenneman.

She was employed by D&D Sewing Factory for 20 years and for Martins/Altland House wait staff for 20 years.  She was a member of Eagle Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Susquehanna Garden Club, Northeastern Senior Center, St. Paul United Methodist Church in Manchester and United Methodist Women’s Group.

Delores is survived by her son, Donald Sheffer and his wife, Dawn of Mount Wolf; 2 granddaughters, Megan Sheffer Nace and Kyla Sheffer Klinefelter her husband Allen; 2 great grandsons, Tucker and Isaac Nace; her brothers, Paul Brenneman and Nevin Brenneman and his wife, Linda and her sister, Dorothy Bretz.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl Brenneman and Larry Brenneman.

Her funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 22, 2021, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4360 Board Road, Manchester.  Viewing will be from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, Friday at the church.  Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover.  Officiating at the service will be her pastors, Reverend Dr. Eddie D. D. Miller and Reverend Darby Nace.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
