YORK HAVEN – Keith R. Reader, Sr., 68, of York Haven, passed away, Friday, March 22, 2024, at UPMC West Shore in Mechanicsburg, PA. He was the husband of Dara A. (Shreve) Reader.

Keith was born January 4, 1956, in Sunbury, PA, and was the son of Auwllyn (Gilligbauer) Reader, and the late Gene Reader.

He graduated in 1974 from Line Mountain High School in Herndon, PA. He was employed by Shingar Family Coal Mine in Trevorton, PA; Dorcy Trailers in Northumberland, PA until they closed, and worked for Split Vein Coal Company in Shamokin, PA for 19 years. Keith, proudly served in the Army National Guard from 1976 to 1982. Keith was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering in his tool shed. He enjoyed telling stories and making people laugh and loved his family and friends and especially his beloved dog, Daisy Dee. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the James A. Danner V.F.W. Post 537 in Etters, PA. He will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to his wife, Keith is survived by his sons, Keith Reader, Jr., and his wife, Raine, Paul Deivert, Shane Lotter, and Shawn Lotter and his wife Gloria, all of Sunbury, PA and his daughters, Elizabeth Snyder, and her husband Jerm, and Natalie Phillips, and her husband Matt, both of Sunbury, PA, 17 grandchildren, Stevie, Ki, Emily, Brady, Olivia, Madelyn, Kaine, Charlette, Maxwell, Violet, Carolynn, Isaac, Skyler, Logan, Emmett, Reece, and London; his brother, Craig Reader of Sunbury, PA and his sister, Roxane Morris, and her husband Robert, Tina Langendoerfer, and Gena Hengst all of Sunbury. Keith was preceded in death by his brothers, Rich Reader, and Barry Reader.

A Celebration of Life service for Keith will be announced at a late date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf, PA.
