Larie D. Snelbaker
Elyria, Ohio – Larie D. (Brown) Snelbaker, 91, of Elyria, Ohio, passed away, Friday, October 1, 2021, at her home in Elyria. She was the wife of the late James H. Snelbaker who passed away on October 14, 2012. They were happily married for 62 years.
Mrs. Snelbaker was born December 24, 1929, in Mount Wolf and was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Rauhauser) Brown.
She graduated in 1947 from Manchester High School in Manchester. She was employed at the Tax Collector’s office for Springettsbury Township for 36 years. She enjoyed spending time and traveling with her family and friends, liked to do word search puzzles, play games especially Bingo, and had a good sense of humor. She was a member of Pleasureville United Methodist Church in York for over 40 years where she was active in the Sunday School classes, a member of the choir and participated in the Kay Witta Bible Cottage for over 15 years.
Mrs. Snelbaker is survived by her daughter, Leslie Noss and her husband David of Avon Lake, OH. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Brown and Cletus Brown.
Funeral services for Mrs. Snelbaker will be private. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Springettsbury Township, York, PA. Officiating at the service will be her pastor, Reverend Ross Judy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
