William L. Druck
MOUNT WOLF – William L. Druck, 88, of Mount Wolf, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at York Hospital. He was the husband of 56 years to the late Audrey L. (Kochenour) Druck who passed away May 1, 2019. He was born April 25, 1934, in North York and was the son of the late William and Verna (Gordon) Druck.
Mr. Druck graduated in 1952 from North York High School in North York Borough. His lifelong passion was sales and numbers. His early career was a timekeeper and expediter at Cole Steel. During his early career he also did door-to-door sales selling Fuller Brushes and Beltone hearing aids. He started his sales career in 1968 with Continental Wire & Cable followed by sales jobs at Anaconda-Ericsson, Monroe Wire & Cable, and First Capital Wire and Cable. In 1992, he founded Ocean Wire & Cable Co. in York and was co-owner and president until his retirement in 2019. In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports, reading, and looking forward to the daily newspaper. He and his wife Audrey both enjoyed hearing live music and going out to eat. He was a current member of the Hawks Club in York, past member of the Prince Athletic Association and the Liberty Social Club in North York in the 1950’s.
Mr. Druck is survived by his son, William L. Druck, Jr and his wife Hokyung-Gloria Druck of York; two grandchildren, Liam Druck and Myles Druck; his half-sister, Julie; his stepbrother, Charles; his stepsister, Judy.
His memorial service will begin at 11:00AM Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:00 AM, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Manchester Union Cemetery in Manchester, PA.
