Cherry Ann Ort

MANCHESTER – Cherry Ann (Rodes) Ort, 74, of Manchester, passed away, Friday, May 20, 2022, at ProMedica South in York.  She was the wife of the late William H. Ort who passed away, May 23, 1992.

Cherry was born September 26, 1947, in York and was the daughter of the late Gordon and Laura (Andrews) Rodes.

She was employed in the cafeteria of the Northeastern High School in Manchester.  A large part of her life she was a homemaker to her husband, children, and family.

Cherry is survived by her daughters, Vicki L. Spangler and her husband Sean of Manchester and Kathleen S. Ort of Etters; two grandsons, Michael, and Bradley; three great grandchildren, Thea, Grey, Avery and her sister, Susan Bowers of Dover.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Gordon W. Rodes.

Services for Cherry will be private.  Burial will be in Manchester Union Cemetery in Manchester.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
