DOVER - Dorothy M. (Mohr) Shannon, 95, of Dover, formerly of Baltimore, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Normandie Ridge Nursing Home in York, PA. She was the wife of the late David R. Shannon, Sr. Mrs. Shannon was born June 14, 1923, in Baltimore and was the daughter of the late George and Philippina (Voelker) Mohr. She graduated from Eastern High School in Baltimore, MD., in 1941. She worked for the Bendix Raido for 32 years before retiring in 1983. She was a Coast Guard Reserves Patrol Officer and patrolled the Harbor and Bay in Baltimore. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mount Wolf, PA. Mrs. Shannon is survived by her son, David R. Shannon, Jr. and his wife, Karen of Manchester, PA; one grandson, and two great granddaughters. Mrs. Shannon was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sherry Shannon and her brother, George Mohr, Jr. Her funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM, Monday, August 20, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Church, 34 North Third Street, Mount Wolf, PA. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, Monday, at the church. Burial will be Private in Garden of Faith Memorial Gardens in Baltimore.
