Faye D. Decker

DOVER – Faye D. (Gladfelter) Decker, 91, of Dover, passed away at 2:50 AM, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at York Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Gene R. Decker who passed away January 11, 2019.

Mrs. Decker was born April 18, 1929 in Manchester and was the daughter of the late Albert M. Gladfelter, Sr. and Sylvia (Kroft) Gladfelter.

She graduated in 1947 from Manchester High School in Manchester.  She retired in 1995 from the former AMP, Inc., now TYCO.  She was a member of the York Quilters Guild and was a former Vacation Bible School teacher at West Poplar Street Church in York.

Mrs. Decker is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Tassinari of South Carolina; her son, Todd Etter of Glen Rock; step-daughters, Gina Decker of Perkasie and Debra Mann and her husband Tom of York; step-daughter-in-law, Deb Decker of West York; 5 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 7 step-great grandchildren and her sister, Teresa Grable and her husband Stephen of Mount Wolf.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Albert M. Gladfelter, Jr.

Her funeral service and burial will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.  Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Shiloh.  Officiating at the service will be Reverend Tracey Utermahlen from West Poplar Street Church in York.
