James Henry Cunningham

DOVER – James H. Cunningham, 70, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at UPMC Memorial in York.  He was the husband of Dianne (Deckman) Cunningham who he married 49 years ago June 10, 1972.

James was born February 12, 1951 in York and was the son of the late Merle and Estella (Gross) Cunningham.

He graduated in 1969 from Northeastern Senior High School in Manchester.  He was employed by Harley Davidson for 38 years before retiring in 2008.  James enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and outdoor recreation.

In addition to his wife, Dianne, James is survived by his sons, James H. Cunningham, II and his fiancé Kimberly of Dover, Ryan Cunningham and his wife Carole of Dillisburg; 1 grandson, Jake; his brother, Bryan Cunningham of Hellam and his sister Colleen Wagner and her husband Kenneth of Dover.

Services and burial for James will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
