Mary J. Bishop

MANCHESTER – Mary J. (Criswell) Bishop, 76, of Manchester, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her home in Manchester.  She is the wife of William K. Bishop who she married 57 years ago on November 30, 1963.

Mary was born September 22, 1944 in York and was the daughter of the late Thomas Ervin Criswell and the late Ruth (Crist) Criswell.

She was retired in 2009 after 18 years of employment with Danskin in York.  She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Mount Wolf.

In addition to her husband, William, Mary is survived by her daughters, Carol Bishop of Manchester, Dianne Kabonick and her husband Fred of York and Donna Beck and her husband Brian of Dover; 2 granddaughters, Felicia Taylor and Brianna Klinedinst both of York and her sisters, Joanne Seitz of York and Linda Zech of Etters.

A viewing will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  Mary's funeral service will be private.  Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.  Officiating at the service will be Reverend James Winter.
