MANCHESTER - Mildred V. (Gross) Shorts, 96, of Manchester, passed away at 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2020 at her home. She was the wife of the late Daniel Shorts.

Mrs. Shorts was born March 6, 1923 in Manchester, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Philip H. Gross and Effie Keister .

She retired as a seamstress for Danskin in York. She was a member of Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren in York.

Mrs. Shorts is survived by her daughter, Cathy E. Dosch of Manchester; 3 grandchildren, Darin Shorts, Sherri Kauffman and Clint Brooks; 4 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Mrs. Shorts was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Brooks and a granddaughter, Cena Shorts.

A graveside service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the Manchester Union Cemetery in Manchester. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Keith Hollenberg from Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren in York. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
