YORK - Richard E. Wilderson, 72, of York, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at his home. He was the life partner of William Campbell. Richard was born February 9, 1945 in York and was the son of the late Ralph and Margaret (Hartman) Wilderson. In 1963 he graduated from Northeastern High School in Manchester. He continued his education and acquired his CPA license. He was employed by the former Shearer Industrial before their closing. He retired in 2017 from York Hospital after 18 years as scheduling and registration in the cardiology department. Richard is survived by his brother, Ralph Wilderson, Jr., of Mount Wolf; his sisters, Marian Tunney and her husband Gil of West York and Robin Kraft of Mount Wolf. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Wilderson. His funeral service will begin at 6:00 PM, Friday, December 22, 2017 at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Viewing will be from 5:00 to 6:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Officiating at the service will be Reverend Howard Edmondson.
