Alan G. Shanabrough
YORK – Alan G. Shanabrough, 62, of Manchester Township, York, died unexpectedly Friday, January 17, 2025 at his home.
Alan was born July 21, 1962 in York and was the son of the late Leander and Ethel (Miller) Shanabrough.
He attended Central York High School and graduated from DeVry Institute. He was previously employed at Ski Roundtown, Shiloh Roofing, Henry’s Beverage, Pennex, Home Depot, and was currently employed by Maple Press. He was a member of Hawk Gunning Club, Pleasureville American Legion, Rooster Club, 12th Ward Democratic Social Club and Thirteenth Ward Political Club.
Alan enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, camping, gardening and Mr. Fix-It projects, and loved his dogs, Tara and Mia. He will always be remembered by his family and friends for his blue eyes, friendly smile, helpful ways, quick wit and humor.
He is survived by his two sisters, Barbara G. Sirolli and her husband Thomas of York, and Karen L. Waltemyer and her husband Larry of York; five step nieces and nephews, four great step nieces and nephews, and three step great great nieces and nephews and his very special cousins.
A celebration of Life service for Alan will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf, PA.
