YORK – Alverta "Betty" E. (Beshore) Myers, 97, of York, passed away, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home in York. She was the wife of the late Donald D. Myers who passed away on March 17, 2000.

Mrs. Myers was born February 7, 1925, in Newberry Township, PA and was the daughter of the late Russell and Cecilia (Knusen) Beshore.

She was employed as a seamstress for 18 years with Bernhaven Sewing Factory in Mount Wolf. She was a member of Newberrytown Church of God in Newberry Township, York Haven.

Mrs. Myers is survived by her son, Alan Beshore, and his wife Sharon of Mount Wolf; her stepdaughter, Judy Elsser of FL; four grandchildren, Jodie, Jeff, Jessica, and Kelly and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Richard Myers; her sisters, Martha Mudrock, Nelda Milford and Ruth Marquart and her brothers, Ralph Beshore, Calvin, Beshore, Walter Beshore, and Paul Beshore.

Mrs. Myers funeral service will begin at NOON, Monday, June 27, 2022, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Viewing will be from 11;00 AM to 12;00 PM, Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Julie Dibble.
