Bernice S. McMann
MOUNT WOLF – Bernice S. (Stanley) McMann, 90, of Mount Wolf, passed away, Monday, August 19, 2024, at York Hospital, York, PA. She was the wife of the late Richard A. McMann who passed away January 21, 2015.
Mrs. McMann was born September 25, 1933, in Woodberry, TN and was the daughter of the late Earl Stanley, Sr. and Hettie (Enos) Stanley. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Jennie and Lonnie Burger.
She was an active member of the Northeastern Senior Center in Mount Wolf and Otterbein United Methodist Church in Emigsville, PA. Mrs. McMann was an artist and painter of Folk Art and a member of The Society of Decorative Painters for 34 years. She worked for The Upper Room Daily Devotional Guide and for Xerox. She loved painting, reading and feeding birds.
Mrs. McMann is survived by her daughter, Terry R. McMann of Greenbelt, MD, and her sons, Harry B. McMann of Baltimore, MD and Keith A. McMann of Windsor, PA. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Josephine Roberts, Pauline Gilliam and Georgia Nadine Stanley, and her brothers, Earl Stanley, Jr and Milan Donald Stanley.
Her memorial service will begin at 12:00 PM, Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 3241 North George Street, Emigsville, PA., A visitation for Mrs. McMann will be from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday at the church. Officiating at her service will be her pastor Reverend Richard Bowers. Her private burial will be in Fort Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery in Annville, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
