Brian E. Forry
MOUNT WOLF – Brian E. Forry, 62, of Mount Wolf, passed away with his loving family around him Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Mechanicsburg. He was the husband of Melanie L. (Ort) Forry who he married 39 years ago on August 22, 1981.
Brian was born March 3, 1959 in York and was the son of Evelyn M. (Miller) Forry and the late Lewis H. Forry, Jr.
He graduated in 1977 from Northeastern High School in Manchester where all his friends called him “Forry”. Brian was an entrepreneur starting with Forry’s Furniture, Bedroom Factory, Bob ba’ Lewie’s, Mussolines Bakery stand at Eastern Market. He was an avid hunter, loved coaching kids Basketball and Golfing and a proud owner of a 1973 Cuda. Loved his family every moment with granddaughters! His love of Happy Valley was unstoppable.
In addition to his wife, Melanie, Brian is survived by his daughter Amber S. Forry and her husband Corey of York, Abbie L. Andrews and her husband Jabree of West York; 2 granddaughters, Amyiah S. Ferguson and Cerenity J. Andrews; his mother, Evelyn Forry; his sister, Sharon Knox and her companion Richard Sheibley of York; his sister-in-law, Nancy Forry of York; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of wonderful friends and he felt so lucky and blessed to have so many. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery L. Forry and his father, Lewis H. Forry, Jr.
A Celebration of Life Service for Brian Forry will consist of a picnic on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Mount Wolf Park, Maple and South Fourth Streets beginning at 3:00 PM. Those planning to attend the picnic are ask to bring a food dish to share, utensils for your dish and lawn chairs. The event is casual dress and if you have a Penn State T-Shirt please wear it. Also, please bring any pictures and or stories to share about Brian. Please RSVP a text message to Melanie at 717-880-2735 so she she can keep track of food and the number of people attending. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
