MOUNT WOLF – Carrie J. (Smith) Glace, 98, of Mount Wolf, passed away, Friday, August 18, 2023, at her home in Mount Wolf.  She was the wife of the late Albert A. Glace who passed away, November 15, 1994.

Mrs. Glace was born March 28, 1925, in Johnstown, PA and was the daughter of the late Elsworth E. and June (Yoder) Smith.

She was employed by Associated Wholesalers in York in the Accounting department for many years and was a Beautician.  She was a member of the Eastern Star in York, the Blue Lodge and First Baptist Church of York.

Mrs. Glace is survived by her daughters, Wendy Staub and her husband Harry of Mount Wolf, PA, and Faye Glace of Herndon, VA; her son, Albert Glace and his wife Kathy of Lewistown, PA; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Mrs. Glace was preceded in death by her grandson, Mark Phillips, and her brothers, Elsworth Smith, Jr., D. R. Smith, and Herbert Smith.

Mrs. Glace’s viewing will be from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, Friday, August 25, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 3375 Druck Valley Road, York, PA.  Her service will begin at 4:30 PM Friday at the church.  Her burial will be private in Byron Run Cemetery in Juniata County, PA.  Officiating at her service will be Pastor Tim Munson.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
