Carroll Eugene Stambaugh

ETTERS – Carroll Eugene Stambaugh, 85, of Etters, PA, passed away, Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at York Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Adams) Stambaugh who passed away, December 12, 2018.

Mr. Stambaugh was born February 12, 1939, in Dover, PA and was the son of the late Willis Clair Stambaugh and Florence Mae (Andrews) Stambaugh.

He was employed for over 40 years by Standard Register in York, PA before retiring in 2004.  He was a member of the Hawks Club in York and Christ Lutheran Church, (Starview) Mount Wolf.  Mr. Stambaugh proudly served his country in the United States Marines.

Mr. Stambaugh is survived by his son, Timothy Stambaugh of Yanceyville, NC; his daughters, Lori Pearson of Lancaster, PA, and Lisa Sell and her husband James of Etters; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great great grandson; his brothers, Fred Stambaugh of East York, PA. and Richard Stambaugh of PA, and his sisters, Joyce Murphy of Mount Wolf, PA, Joan Fitz of Manchester, PA, Cathy Jones of Douglassville, PA, and Judy Newberry of Windsor, PA. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Scott Pearson and his daughter-in-law, Tracy Stambaugh.

His funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  His visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Thursday at the funeral home.  His burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York, PA.  Officiating at his service will be his pastor, Reverend Stephen Yambor.  The York County Veterans Honor Guard will provide full military honors at the cemetery.
