Charles F. Wilt, Jr.

DOVER – Charles F. Wilt, Jr., 85 of Dover, passed away, Friday, December 27, 2024, at his home in Dover, PA.  He was the husband of the late Sonja F. (Shorts) Wilt who passed away April 25, 2021.

Charles was born May 05, 1939, in Newberry, York County, PA and was the son of the late Charles F. Wilt, Sr. and Clara M. (Frye) Wilt.

He graduated in 1957 from Red Land Senior High School in Lewisberry, PA.  He was employed for over 36 years with York Drilling Company in York, PA before retiring in 2001.  He was a former member of the Wago Club in Mount Wolf, PA.

Charles is survived by his daughters, Shana Patton of Manchester, PA, Victoria Beaulieu and her husband Ricky of Maine, and Tina Ort and her husband Ronnie of Dover, PA; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and his sister, Donna Lee Archer of Mount Wolf.  Charles was preceded in death by his son, Scott Allen Wilt, his brother, Paul E. Wilt, his sister, Gloria Mae Buss, his grandson, Ryan Patton, and his son-in-law, Doug Patton.

His service and burial will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf, PA.
