YORK – Charlotte (Beshore) Ahrens, 90, of York, formerly of Manchester, passed away,
Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at her home in Normandie Ridge. She was the wife of the late Robert L.
Ahrens, Jr.
Charlotte was born August 4, 1931, in Manchester and was the daughter of the late Allen A. and
Gail Marie (Mourer) Beshore.
She graduated in 1949 from Manchester High School in Manchester and later in 1953 from
Hood College in Maryland. She was a teacher with the Northeastern School District in
Manchester before retiring in 1969. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in
Manchester.
Charlotte is survived by her sons, Kent and his wife Nancy of York, Joel and his wife Elaine of
Buffalo Grove, IL and Todd and his wife Cynthia of Duck, NC; four granddaughters and one
grandson, and a sister Erma Schaffner. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen
McCahan.
Her funeral services are private at the request of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted
to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
