Connie E. Hutchinson
Ephrata – Connie Elaine (Waltimyer) Hutchinson, 66 of Ephrata, who lived vibrantly, passed away, Friday, September 20, 2024, at home in Ephrata, PA. She was the wife of Rick Hutchinson who she married 46 years ago on May 21, 1978.
Connie was born July 24, 1958, in York, PA.
She graduated in 1976 from J. P. McCaskey High School in Lancaster, PA. She was employed in Childcare, DART Container and TRACK, (Teens Responding to Adult Caring Kindness). She was a member of Sertoma, TAC, (Teens After Class), TRACK Homework Help, Holy Trinity Homework Help, ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association) Youth Committee, Lebanon Rabbit Club Association Youth Club, Ephrata Fair-Rabbit Department for 9 years, Board of Directors for Ephrata Fair, 4-H Leader, G.I.F.TD. (Girls In Defining Themselves) F.F.A. Chaperone, F.F.A. Volunteer, and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ephrata, PA.
Connie was a passionate reader of John Grisham and made the best Strawberry Rhubarb Pies.
In addition to her husband, Connie is survived by her daughter, Colleen Worley and her husband Jamie, and her son, Rick Hutchinson, Jr. both of Denver, PA, four grandchildren, Brianna, Zachariah, Emma, and Erin. Connie was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Dana, her brothers, Gregory Waltimyer and David Waltimyer.
Connie’s Celebration of Life service will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 167 East Main Street, Ephrata, PA. Her visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday at the church. Her burial will be private. Officiating at her service will be her pastor Reverend Mark Luscombe from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and her nephew Reverend Wade Pond. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf, PA.
