Darlene Sower Obituary

MOUNT WOLF - Darlene N. (Lecrone) Sower, 71, of Mount Wolf, passed away 11:09 PM, Monday, February 20, 2017 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the Randy L. Sower whom she married 47 years ago. Darlene was born July 30, 1945 in York and was the daughter of the late Franklin and Sarah (Wolf) Lecrone and her step-mother the late Edna Lecrone. She graduated in 1963 from Northeastern High School and later from the York City School District Nursing Program where she received her diploma as an LPN. She was employed as a nurse by York Hospital and the Lutheran Home in York. She was a member of the Saginaw Community Church in Saginaw and was active in Golden Agers since 1990. In her spare time Darlene enjoyed cooking and gardening. In addition to her husband, Randy, Darlene is also survived by her two daughters, Sally Baiada of York and Beverly Richardson and her husband Larry of Manchester; two grandchildren, Brant and Sara; her two sisters, Candace Graff of Dover and Kathleen Longwill of Arkansas, and her brother, Stephen Lecrone of Hanover. Her funeral service will begin at 11:03 AM, Friday, February 24, 2017 at Saginaw Community Church, 860 Market Street (Saginaw) Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:03 AM at the church. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Officiating at the service will be her pastor the Reverend Samuel Velez.
