Darlene L. Stiffler
MANCHESTER – Darlene L. (Stambaugh) Stiffler, 89, of Midland City, Alabama, formerly of Manchester, passed away, Friday, December 19, 2025, at Oak View Manor in Ozark AL. She was the wife of the late Richard R. Stiffler who passed away on July 1, 2012.
Mrs. Stiffler was born December 15, 1936, in Hanover, PA and was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ann (Huff) Stambaugh.
She graduated in 1955 from New Oxford Senior High School in New Oxford, PA. She was employed by Rutters Farm Stores before her retirement in 1998.
Mrs. Stiffler is survived by her daughters, Peggy Sue Ann Jacobs of Windsor, PA, Diane L. Altland of Wellsville, PA, and Janet L. Weldon of Midland City, AL; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, and her sisters, Alda Gross of Abbottstown, PA and Ina Rummel of Shrewsbury, PA. She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory L. Stiffler, her sisters, Betty Laughman, Anna Mae Heller, Mary Carter, and Madline Hoover, and her brother, Charles E. Stambaugh.
Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. Her visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Her burial will be in Quickel Cemetery in York. Officiating at her service will be Reverend James E. Winter, Sr.
