MOUNT WOLF – It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of David C. Schaefer, 56, of Mount Wolf, who passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at his home in Mount Wolf, PA.

David was born August 25, 1968, in York and was the son of Linda A. (Fitz) Schaefer of Dover, PA, and the late Harry E. Schaefer.

David graduated in 1986 from Dallastown Area Senior High School in Dallastown, PA.  He was employed at Engel Machinery in York for 30 years in January.  His favorite things were Halloween, horror movies, and motorcycles.

In addition to his mother, David is survived by his daughter, Katherine Schaefer of Bloomsburg, PA, his brothers, Kevin Schaefer and Michael Schaefer, and aunts, uncles and cousins.

David’s wishes were to have private services.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York County SPCA, 3159 North Susquehanna Trail, York, Pennsylvania 17406.
