David C. Stackhouse

YORK – David C. Stackhouse, 68, of York, passed away, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at his home. He was the companion of Nancy Woods who died on March 20, 2021.

David was born February 21, 1953, in York and was the son of the late William “Stan” S. Stackhouse, Sr. and Ethel (Hobbs) Stackhouse.

He graduated in 1971 from Suburban High School in York. He was employed for over 30 years with Maple Press in York and previously was employed with his family’s business, Stackhouse Carpets in York. David was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed visiting his cabin in Huntingdon County. He was a member of Pleasureville United Methodist Church in York.

David is survived by his sister, Mary Anne Lyon, and her husband Richard of York. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Stackhouse and William Stackhouse, Jr. and his sister, Carol Keller.

His graveside service will begin at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in Prospect Hill Cemetery, 700 North George Street, York, PA.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
