Deborrah C. (Smith) Reeser

MANCHESTER – Deborrah C. (Smith) Reeser, 76 of Manchester, passed away, Saturday, July 4, 2026, at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York, PA.  She was the wife of Gale L. Reeser, whom she married 56 years ago on January 31, 1970.

Debbie was born August 28, 1949, in York, PA and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Reba (Poff) Smith.

She graduated in 1967 from William Penn Senior High School in York, PA.  She retired from Wolfgangs Candys in York.  She was a former member of the Red Hat Society and a member of the Susquehanna Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in York Haven, PA.

In addition to her husband, Debbie is survived by her daughter, Christine McFerren and her husband James of York, PA; her son, Steven Reeser of Manchester, PA; five grandchildren, Austin, Madison, Cody, Abby, and Kye; her sister, Alicia Hirt of York, and her brothers, Elwood Smith of Red Lion, PA and David Smith of York, PA.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Darlene Smith, and Patricia Bixler and her brother, Jeffery Smith.

Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 10, 2026, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  Her viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.  Her burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Officiating at her service will be Reverend Lisa A. Hair.
