Dennis A. Bell

York – Dennis A. Bell, 76 of York, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York.  He was the husband of Roxanne A. (Holtzapple) Bell whom he married 53 years ago on March 17, 1973.

Dennis was born on December 26, 1949, in Peoria, IL and was the son of the late Lloyd Bell and Marie Sier.

In his early years, Dennis was involved with the Liberty Fire Company in North York Borough.  He started his career at Gardner Denver as a machinist and later retired from Johnson Controls in York.  He enjoyed hunting, was an avid bowler, enjoyed Western shows and the company of his dogs, Rambi and Leila.

In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by his two sons, Duane E. Bell and his husband Scott Smith of York, and Brandon S. Bell and his partner Terrance of Bensalem, PA., his daughter, Heather A. Eyster and her husband Robert of York; two grandchildren, Cody Bell and his wife Myranda and Ashlyn Eyster; his great granddaughter, Kenzleigh Bell; his brother, Douglas Bell and his wife Aneta of Dover; brother-in-law, Brad Holtzapple and his wife, Raili, and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Bell, his stepmother, Dorothy Bell.

His funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM, Friday, May 8, 2026, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. His visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.  His burial will be private.
