Dennis E. Shelly, Sr.

MANCHESTER – Dennis Eugene Shelly, Sr., 78 of Manchester, PA passed away, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Wellspan York Hospital in York, PA.   He was the husband of Carolla E. (Myers) Shelly.

Dennis was born on May 8, 1948. in Mount Wolf, PA, and was the son of the late Phillip R. Shelly, Sr. and Helena (Kauffman) Shelly.

He attended Northeastern Senior High School in Manchester, PA.  He retired from James E. Craft and Son in York Haven, PA as a welder.  He was a member of the Susquehanna V.F.W. Post 2493 in Mount Wolf, PA.

In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by his son, Dennis E. Shelly, Jr. of Mount Wolf, PA; his daughter, Tracey May and her husband Rich of Manchester, five granddaughters; six great grandchildren, and his brothers, Gary Shelly of York, PA and Ronald Shelly of Manchester.  Dennis was preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip Shelly, Jr., and Richard Shelly

A Celebration and Gathering for Dennis will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, beginning at 12:00 PM at the Eagle Fire Company, 54 Center Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
