Donald L. Michael

YORKANA – Donald L. Michael, 76, of Yorkana, passed away, Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey.  He was the husband of Sharon (Foye) Michael who he married 54 years ago on May 18, 1968.

Donald was born December 5, 1946, in Spring Glen and was the son of the late Howard Michael and Anna (Lettich) Michael, Crosson and the stepson of the late George Crosson.

He graduated in 1964 from Upper Dauphin High School in Elizabethville, PA.  He retired in 1998 from Caterpillar Tractor in York after 31 years of service to the company.  He also was employed by Lower Windsor Township for 9 years.  He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Yorkana.  Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves.

In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by his son, Scott Michael, and his wife Angel of Red Lion; his daughter, Jennifer Stremmel, and her husband Jeff of Mount Wolf; four grandchildren, Gabriel, Breanne, Jared, and Makenna and two great granddaughters.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Elwood Michael.

A celebration of life service for Donald will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Christ United Methodist Church, 5 Main Street, Yorkana, PA.  Burial will be private.  Officiating at the service will be his pastor Reverend Jason Guillaume.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
