Donald Urbanowicz

Donald Urbanowicz (1942-2023) succumbed to his short illness on October 30, 2023.

He was born and raised in Jersey City and spent three years in the U.S. Army. Donald met and married Linda in 1970.

After the wedding, Donald and Linda relocated to Union Beach and had three kids. Atlantic Highlands followed Union Beach in the family travels. Eventually, the couple would become empty nesters before moving to Tinton Falls.

Danielle (Gourley), the oldest child, went on to become a nurse practitioner and earned a doctorate degree. She settled with her husband Dan in Gettysburg and has children, Maxwell, and Reese.

John, the middle child, became a Wall Street wonderkid and married Janet (Castelo). They have two children, Stella, and Charlie.

Jamie (Gorsegner), the youngest, went to Monmouth University and played Division I field hockey on the inaugural team. She became a special education teacher and earned a master’s degree. She married her middle school sweetheart, Michael Gorsegner, and they settled in York, PA with three kids, Kaylee, Avery, and Sebastian.

Don worked for most of his career for Jaguar cars in Port Newark. After Jaguar, he moved on to First Tech in Clifford Beach where he was operations manager.

He always felt blessed for his wonderful life along with his loving family.

Funeral services for Donald will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Diehl Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. His viewing will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday at the funeral home.  His burial will be private.  Officiating at the service will be Father William Forrey from Holy Infant Catholic Church in Manchester, PA.
