YORK HAVEN – Dorothy A. (Hocker) “Meme” Best, 83, of York Haven, passed away 5:33 AM, Friday, January 15, 2021 at Penn State Health, Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, She was the wife of the late Arthur A. Best.

She was born January 1, 1938 in Harrisburg and was the daughter of the late Chester and Dorothy (Foultz) Hocker.

Dorothy was a former member of the Goldsboro Fireman’s Club and a member of Paddletown United Methodist Church in Etters.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Burger and her fiancé Michael of Manchester and Chris Daugherty of Manchester; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and her sister, Evelyn Caley of York Haven; Mrs. Best was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Burger.

Funeral services and burial will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
