Dr. Stephen S. Grim
MANCHESTER – Dr. Stephen S. Grim, D.C., 73, of Manchester, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at his home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was the companion to Deirdre Jane Altland.
Dr. Grim was born January 4, 1949, in Emigsville and was the son of Phyllis (Whorley) Grim of Emigsville and the late Samuel S. Grim of Abbottstown.
He graduated in 1966 from Central York High School in York. He attended Grove City College in Grove City PA before transferring to Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore where he graduated in 1970. After a brief time of teaching music, Dr. Grim changed careers and graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1977. He started practicing in Manchester in 1978 and retired on October 4, 2013, after 36 years of practice. He enjoyed Penn State football, scuba diving, horse races at Pimlico and the Indy 500.
Dr. Grim is survived by his mother Phyllis (Whorley) Grim and his daughter, Heather Rohlmeier and her husband Michael of Mt. Juliet, TN and one grandson.
A private burial will be held at a later date for the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
