Earl James Rudisill

MANCHESTER – Earl “Jim” Rudisill, 81 of Manchester, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at his home in Manchester, He was the husband of Christine M. (Sterner) Rudisill whom he married 33 years ago on November 21, 1992.

Jim was born August 3, 1944, in Gettysburg, PA and was the son of the late Wilbur A. Rudisill, Sr. and Bessie (Aughenbaugh) Rudisill.

He graduated in 1962 from Gettysburg Senior High School in Gettysburg, PA.  He was self-employed having owned and operated Jims Auto Reconditioning service for over 50 years.  He was a member of Gettysburg V.F.W. Post #15.  Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army for six years.  He completed two tours in the Vietnam War for which he received numerous medals for heroism and the Bronze Star Medal.

In addition to his wife Christine, Jim is survived by his sons, Michael Rudisill and his wife, Michele of Front Royal, VA, and John Rudisill and his wife, Lauren of Morristown, NJ; his daughter, Patricia Heisey and her husband, Fred of Westport, CT, Lee Ann Rose of Manchester, PA, and Jennifer Miller and her husband, Matthew of Red Lion, PA; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his brother, Fred Rudisill of York, PA and his sister, Betty Plitt of Hanover, PA.  Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, Wilbur, Jr., Eugene, Leroy, Donald, Charles, Robert and Harold.

A memorial service to celebrate Jim’s life will begin at 1:00 PM, Monday, November 10, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  His visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. His burial will be private at Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery in Annville, PA.  Officiating at his service will be Pastor Joseph Kelly.  Full military honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
