Edna M. Mikos YORK HAVEN - Edna M. (Michaels) Mikos, 66, of York Haven, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Wayne Mikos, Sr. whom she married 50 years ago on June 25, 1966. Edna was born May 30, 1950 in Harrisburg and was the daughter of the late William and Flora (Cobaugh) Michaels. She previously was employed by The Woods Nursing Home in Camp Hill. Edna loved to spend time playing bingo with her bingo companion and cousin Charlotte Peurala. She attended Holy Infant Catholic Church in Manchester, PA. In addition to her husband, Wayne, Edna is survived by her two daughters, Tina Horning and her husband Martin of Harrisburg, Tanya Mikos and her husband Robert Stone of York Haven; her two sons, Wayne Mikos, Jr., and his wife Irene of Dover, Donald Mikos and his wife Ashley Shaffer of York Haven; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; three sisters, Jessie Nissel of Corpus Christi, TX, Sharon Gully and Susan Michaels both of Thompsontown, PA; and her brother, William Michaels of Newport, PA. Edna was preceded in death by her sister, Marylin Harman. A service of celebration will begin at 10:30 AM, Thursday, January 19, 2017 at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery in York. Officiating at the service will be The Reverend Philip K. Nace.
