Edward “Ed” C. Hake

DOVER - Edward “Ed” C. Hake, 71 of Dover, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at his home. He was the loving husband of Lisa (Hoffman) Hake whom he married 35 years ago on April 2, 1986.

Ed was born January 26, 1950, in Dover and was the son of Jacquline (Hollerbush) Hake of Dover and the late Stewart Hake.

He was a truck driver for ABF Freight, Consolidated Freightways and Eckert Trucking.  He started his racing career in the 1970’s and continued until the 1980’s.  He was a member of the York County Racing Club.

In addition to his wife, Lisa, Ed is survived by his sons, Eddie Hake of Lewisberry, Brent Hake and Mark Love both of Dover; his daughters, Carrie Hake and Toni Landis both of Manchester and Missy Fromm of Dover; several grandchildren; and his brother, Lanny Hake. 

Services and burial for Ed will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
