Edward Joseph Prebula, Jr.

Red Lion – Edward Joseph Prebula, Jr., 68 of Red Lion, passed away, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at his home in Red Lion, PA.  He is the husband of Suzanne Marie (Sauerbaum) Prebula, who he married 17 years ago on January 6, 2006.

Edward was born January 5, 1955, in Hazleton, PA and was the son of the late Margaret Alice (Hayes) Prebula Williams.

He graduated in 1974 from Bishop Hoban High School in Wilkes-Barre, PA.  He was employed by York Wallcoverings for 23 years before retiring.  He was a member of the Rooster Social Club, Vigilant Social Club and Golf Club, Prince Athletic Association and South End Democratic Club.  Edward proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

In addition to his wife, Suzanne, Edward is survived by his stepson, Christopher Sauerbaum and his wife, Heather Sloat of Hellam; two grandchildren, Harley and Tucker; his brothers, Thomas Prebula and his wife Rayma of Vallejo, CA, and Joseph Prebula and his wife Katharine of York; his twin sister, Suzanne Doll of York, and many nieces and nephews.  Edward was preceded in death by his brothers Richard Prebula and Michael Prebula.

Edwards memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  His visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Saturday at the funeral home.  His burial will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, in Newtown, PA.  Officiating at his service will be Reverend Laura Baker.
