Franklin L. Harris
YORK – Franklin L. Harris, 87, of York, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his home. He was the husband of the late Betty Mae (Weirich) Harris who passed away on August 26, 1998.
Franklin was born May 4, 1933 in York and was the son of the late George and Violet (Gates) Harris.
He was a truck driver for Halls Motor Freight, M&M Transportation and York Snacks. Mr. Harris was a member of the Truckers Teamsters Union.
Franklin is survived by his daughter, Wanda Hendrickson and her husband Richard of York; 2 granddaughters, Tammy and Marcie; 3 great grandchildren, Carleigh, Brady and Kendyl and his brother, David Harris of Lancaster. Franklin was preceded in death by his sister, Delores “June” Tracy.
His funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery in York. Officiating at the service will be Reverend Lanny Kilgore.
