Glen Robert Ferree, Sr.

MANCHESTER – Glen Robert Ferree, Sr., 86, of Manchester, passed away, Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at York Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Margaret E. (Clouser) Ferree who passed away July 2, 2016.

Mr. Ferree was born July 5, 1946, in New Freedom and was the son of the late Robert S. Ferree and Alice C. (Warner) Ferree.

He was a longtime truck driver for AWI, Associated Wholesalers, Inc. in York, and he retired from James Craft and Son in Manchester.

He is survived by his son, Glen R. Ferree, Jr. of York; his stepsons, Terry Snelbaker of Waldorf, MD and Edward Snelbaker of Windsor, PA; his daughters, Diane Frantz of Seven Valleys, and Linda Deneen of York; his stepdaughter, Cathy Snelbaker of York; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; his brother, Dale Ferree and his sisters, Brenda, Barbara, and Helen.  Mr. Ferree was preceded in death by his son, Steven Ferree, stepson, Mike Snelbaker, stepdaughter, Vicki Emig, his brother, Ray and his sisters, Bernice, Lois and Audrey.

Service and burial for Mr. Ferree will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
