Glenda Kay Baer
YORK – Glenda Kay (Doll) Baer, 86 of York, passed away, Friday, December 12, 2025, at Misericordia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York. She was the wife of Earl “Bud” Stewart Baer, Jr whom she married 63 years ago on May 20, 1962.
Mrs. Baer was born December 2, 1939, in Saginaw, East Manchester Township, York County and was the daughter of the late Frank and Kathryn (Krebs) Doll.
She graduated in 1957 from Manchester Senior High School in Manchester, PA. Glenda’s best job was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed music, reading, traveling, and her extended family. In the past Glenda was a volunteer for Dover Library, Pullo Center, Belmont Theatre and other organizations. Most recently she volunteered for AARP Tax-Aide, York County Area Agency on Aging, and Northeastern Food Pantry. She always enjoyed helping others. She was employed for over 22 years for Richard D. Markley, Inc. in York.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters, Julie Unger and her husband Dave of York, Sara Walters and her husband Paul of Dover; three grandchildren, Grant, Mackenzie, and Elijah; one sister, Joyce Bolding and her husband Richard of Manchester, and her brothers, Lynn Doll and his wife Barbara, and Sidney Doll and his wife Dorothy both of York. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Doll, and her brothers, Frank Doll, Stanley Doll and Donald Doll.
Her memorial service to celebrate her life will begin at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 22, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. Her visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, Monday at the funeral home. Officiating at her service will be Pastor David Witkovsky.
