Glenn E. Grim
MANCHESTER – Glenn E. Grim, 92, of Manchester, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at his home in Manchester. He was the husband of the late Freda (Anderson) Grim who passed away November 24, 2018.
Mr. Grim was born June 12, 1929, in York County and was the son of the late Clarence and Winefred (Swartz) Grim.
He was employed by the Naval Ordnance Plant, formerly AMF of York, Kopper Company and Caterpillar all in York. He was a member of the York Antique Car Club; AAA and Cassels Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Manchester. Mr. Grim proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.
Mr. Grim is survived by his son, Glenn E. Grim, II of Manchester; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren and his brother, Wilmer Grim of East Berlin. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis A. Grim; his brothers, Kenneth, Preston, Clarence, Richard, John, Dennis, Luther and Charles and his sisters, Gretna, Treva, Mary, Phyllis and Lavinia.
His funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Viewing will be from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Quickels Cemetery in York. Officiating at his service will be Pastor Edward Wible. York County Veterans Honor Guard will provide full military honors at the graveside.
